Your federal rebate
The Cheaper Home Batteries Program discounts battery storage through the federal certificate scheme, tiered by usable capacity — the first kilowatt-hours earn the most. Eligible batteries run from 5kWh up to 50kWh of rebate-eligible capacity.
The battery must be paired with solar to qualify, and the rebate steps down on 1 January 2027.
