Terms of service

These terms cover how Sunbolt quotes, bookings, deposits, installs and the Sunbolt+ plan work. They sit alongside your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, which always apply.
Quotes and estimates
Every price, rebate and saving we show is an estimate, keyed to the address and system size you give us, and is subject to eligibility and a site assessment. Estimates are not an offer or a guarantee of a final price. Government rebate amounts depend on the federal scheme rules and certificate market in force at the time of install, and can change.
Service area
Sunbolt installs in South-East Queensland on the Energex distribution network — Brisbane, the Gold Coast and the Sunshine Coast. Addresses outside this area are handled as waitlist enquiries only and are not quoted a price.
Standard install and variations
Quoted prices are for a defined standard install (for example single-phase, a modern switchboard and a reasonable cable run). If a site assessment finds the work is non-standard — such as a long cable run, a switchboard upgrade or three-phase supply — any additional work is quoted to you and agreed before it proceeds, and may be charged as a separate variation against your booking.
Deposits and payment
A deposit secures your install slot. The balance is payable on completion. If you cancel before install we will refund the deposit less any costs reasonably incurred, consistent with the Australian Consumer Law. Payments are processed by our payment provider; we do not store your card details.
Sunbolt+ plan
Sunbolt+ is an optional ongoing service plan, not an insurance product or a warranty. It provides services beyond your standard consumer guarantees and manufacturer warranties and does not reduce them. The first three months are free with an install; after that it continues at the published monthly price until you cancel, which you may do at any time without an exit fee.
Your consumer rights
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law. Where our liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the extent permitted by law.
